My mama. This photo was taken 3 years ago at my high school graduation. She was with me. This photo really reminds me of the days when she was still OK. :(( Now, she's suffering because of Alzheimer's Disease. [Google it.] Also known as "Forgetfulness" disease. I think it started in year 2009 and it developed and became worst now. She is only 63 years old. Too young to have this kind of disease, although her doctor said that this is hereditary. I can remember my Lola Celing, Mama's mom, she also have this. But she was already old.
Most of the time, she forgets us. *sob* Like our names, her name. She can't even recognize and understand commands. She can't understand some of the things that you will tell her. :| She can't understand her situation. She can't understand that she is sick. :( And when there are times that we really don't meant to yell at her, she'll just stare at you with her blank eyes, looking very confused. And then suddenly she'll just say "Pasensya na. Wala eh. Ganyan talaga. Wala na ko magagawa. Ganyan ang buhay." :((
I always ask my self why did this thing happened to her? Why? Of all people--? :(( Obviously, she doesn't deserve any of this! :((( She is a very hard working mother. Very caring, very thoughtful and always shows concern to everyone. :( She used to be lively before and very talkative. But now, she's very quiet. :(
I love her. :( I love my Mama. And I swear, it breaks my heart seeing her like this everyday. :( I know she's having a hard time but so are we. It is twice as hard for us. :( We already accepted the fact that Mama is not OK anymore, so we don't stop helping her because we are her family. We are all she have now and GOD. :(
